Ear Nose and Throat (ENT)

The Tristel Trio Wipes System and Stella are used in hospital Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) departments around the world.

The Tristel Trio Wipes System is recognised by the ENT UK Society as the most widely used decontamination methodology employed in United Kingdom hospitals.  The Society’s Guidance on the decontamination and sterilisation of rigid and flexible endoscopes, published in 2010, refers to the decontamination methods available within UK hospitals and states “the least expensive is the use of chlorine dioxide wipes. This method has been used nationally for several years in many hospitals without any reported episode of cross infection”.

A recent paper “Evaluation of disinfection of flexible nasendoscopes using Tristel Wipes: a prospective single blind study”, published by the Royal College of Surgeons Journal, proved that the ‘in use’ efficacy of Tristel Wipes in cleaning the scopes of organisms was 100%.
